Come Meet Canadians in Colorado

I am exceedingly proud of our continuing efforts to support new transplants from Canada to the Rocky Mountain region. Offering a unique lifestyle, the Denver metro area welcomes thousands of Canucks! With many lifestyle choices and outdoor activities mimicking those of our native homeland, the Mile High City makes for an easy transition to living in the States. Skiing, cycling, hiking, camping and a love for craft beer, all are readily available, while job opportunities, tight-knit communities, and high-quality housing are all accessible and affordable (compared to Toronto and Vancouver, anyway!?).  Moving to Denver never seemed so great!

As president of the Canada Colorado Association(CCA) and as your Canadian “go to guy” for your real estate needs, I help Canadians transition to life in Denver and its surrounding areas.  I can help direct you to resources for your immigration, cross-border taxation, and cross-border wealth management needs, and can especially help you establish social bonds with fellow Canadians.  The CCA’s vision statement is “Celebrating Canada! Connecting Canadians and friends of Canada”.  The Canada Colorado Association exists to connect fellow Canadians who are moving to Colorado.  However, you don’t need to be Canadian to hang out with us.  There are many spouses who don’t have Canadian heritage and Canadians are accepting of all friends of Canada!  Give me a call today to find out how to meet more Canadians, and also learn how we have fun in the community in our new state.

We love to incorporate the aspects of Canadian lifestyle and fun into our new home and routinely meet in social settings building a Canadian community here in Colorado.  Here are some of the activities we host:

  • Beef and Lobsterfest (lobsters are flown in from Nova Scotia!)
  • Almost Canada Day Charity Golf Tournament
  • Happy Birthday Canada!
  • Canadian Thanksgiving
  • Grey Cup Party
  • Hockey games when Canadian teams take on the Colorado Avalanche (which has 9 Canadian players) 😉
  • Canadian Comedy, Magician and Musical Performances
  • Business networking and informational meetings about subjects like cross-border taxation, wealth management and immigration; NAFTA and the Canada’s legalization of marijuana; plus, gatherings of university alumni from Canadian Universities.

You can get involved with helping us run these events, that’s where the r
